004 - The tradition of Pacu Jawi (Ox Racing) goes back 100's of years on the island of Indonesia, specifically west Sumatra here. It started when the farmers would harvest their rice and at the beginning of as new harvest the farmers would race their bulls in the harvested fields to see who could stay on the longest and keep the bulls in a straight line. The tradition stuck for 100's of years and is now a weekly event that can be attended almost every weekend.
