My monthly trips throughout Sumatra allow me to travel and document the hardships of the Sumatran elephant throughout the elephant camps of this majestic island. These majestic creatures are under extreme threat from habitat destruction and cases of new orphans are happening every month. This month I met Yekti who is only 3 months old and was found snared in the national park, with a daunting injury to her leg. She is now under 24 hour care being fed 30 litres of milk every day.
