Daily Photo – Mountains of Sumatra

Travelling the perimeter of the TWA Seblat Conservation area is an incredible thing to do and see, and of all the ways on the back of an elephant just makes it quite surreal really. At the very north side of the Seblat Conservation area is an old corridor that animals use to travel between the conservation area and the Kerinci Seblat National Park. It’s mostly closed off with crop lands now but i’m told there is still a little bit of access for the animals to come and go from both areas if they so wish. The view of the mountains in the Kerinci Seblat National Park from an old patrol camp in the conservation area is simply spectaculat and being the dry season and no fire haze we were very lucky to have this view.
