Daily Photo – Hazy Sumatra

It’s been a bad year for the smoky haze that often covers various parts of Sumatra due to the illegal burning of forests. But not only is it bad for Sumatra but also the close neighbours of Singapore and Malaysia have been heavily hit with thick haze. Tens of thousands of people have fallen ill and died throughout Sumatra because of this tragic criminal act which seems to have no end in sight from lack of law enforcement.
